I was told to replace the original dampers on my Tamiya 1:14 to oil dampers, as this would give it a better suspension and not so jumpy if driving fast. They were fairly cheap, so why not. It’s easiest to replace them while building anyways, not after.
I’ve looked a bit at the Tamiya trucks, which seems like nice kits for someone who likes to have a a project over a longer time. I’m more into planes, but the details in these kits makes it hard to resist ordering one.

As I’m waiting for my Tamiya kit, I bought some plastic 1:14 Carson Pallets (907049). These are not as realistic as the wooden ones (907099), or the wooden imitation ones (907094), but I got them cheap, and bought two packs with five pieces each.
